Class 11: Exhibition Preparation

This class we went over some more details that are important before we have our exhibition.
We confirmed the committees that will be overseeing certain tasks such as advertising, promotion and design.

Set up of the exhibit is May 18th until the 22nd. The opening is the 23rd and takedown is the 15th of June.

Jodi will be in charge of documenting the process of the exhibition set up.

Belle will be photographing the installation & work documentation.

The promotional team will be collect and prepare the images for promotional packages.

This information will need to be available to the grant writing team.

Collecting Logos, contact information and thank you's will be organized by the Design team (Jodi, Odessa, Jessica). The design committee will also be writing the exhibition statement for the wall. We need someone to take care of translation.

Sarah will be taking care of the exhibition binder.

Chloe, Nico and Colvin  will be taking care of promotional projects such as press.


1:30-2:30
entire class organized receipts and filled out reimbursement forms

2:30-3:30
split up into three groups and edited artist statements / grant team completed forms

3:45
discussion on advertising of exhibit, specifically as students of Concordia

discussion on public art in Val-David
lesson: make sure to have a plan B if your proposal is not accepted

gathering contact information for writing invitations, posters, and thank you's overseen by Odessa, Jodi, and Jessica

additional notes:
-SPA and design team will be meeting to create the fundraiser poster
-fundraiser (SPA print sale) will be from april 7th-10th everyday from noon-7pm (check the doodle form to see others' availability for shifts and don't forget to add your own availability)
