Notes on Podio


  • Log in. 
  • Make a profile first 
  • You can customize the calendar and notify people of tasks 
  • Press J to go through notifications quickly. 
  • Press C for Chat 
  • Press M to send a message 
  • Press T to add a new task
  • Make sure to assign dates to each task because it will end up at the bottom of the list 
  • Each task group has their own space 
  • Deliverables: small projects 
  • You can link gmail and dropbox in the podio account
  • Click on Modify the model, add spaces to include text 
  • You can filter the type of grants you'd like to see in the task list. 
  • Click on General - go to create a meeting 



Project Presentations

Isabelle presented her project proposal with photos and stop-motion video samples. Ideas for installation included: black and white video projection, narrative about woman undergoing trauma of magnetic pull

Belle presented project proposal. Ideas included: photo transfer on fabric or plastic suspended from opening in centre of gallery (9x12 feet)

Nico presented proposal. Ideas included: Canadian resource extraction, outdoor installation of trees (8 feet tall, printed plywood), Canadian themed digital prints and stickers, food resources, Canadianisms and Canadian icons, displayed in corner of gallery

Sarah presented proposal. Ideas included: recreating childhood home at Bark Lake during spring and summer months, recreating atmosphere of lake using nature sounds, installation on balcony using box to peer through

Jessica presented proposal. Ideas included: flower dome installation with raincloud mobile hanging above, dome built out of found brush, printed flowers using water soluble material, raincloud emitting water and washing away printed flowers, 4x4.5 feet

Chloe presented proposal. Ideas included: child's perspective versus adult perspective, recreation of memory, naivety versus reality, projection of constellations / freckles to simulate stargazing


Additional notes
1. Remember to submit individual budgets through Google Drive
2. Submit photos of past work to grant team (1024 pixels, label the photos with your name, title of work, year, medium)
3. Continue looking for a common thread that will bring the installation pieces together!
