What do we think of when we hear 'Impressions Nordiques'?
  • light, sunset, colours blue, orange, pink, violet, isolation, flocks of birds
  • cottage country with no roads
  • themes of identity
  • snow, canadianisms, textures
  • animal rights
  • women in the North, representations of influential women of Canada
  • boundaries, Plan Nord, landscape, romantic visions of winter
  • trees (dead and alive), paying homage to nature, bringing our attention to something we normally ignore through unnatural colour
  • melting ice
  • Northern Lights
  • habitat, shelter
  • magnetic pull of the North, apocalypse

Next week please bring your lab fee receipt!

  3. Andrée-Anne’s Chocolate Hummus

    Ingredients:
    - 2 cups of chickpeas
    - 1 soup spoon of peanut butter
    - 3 soup spoon of vegetable oil (canola or coconut is good)
    - 1/2 cups of Cocoa powder
    - 2/3 cups of maple syrup (it's possible to put less and add a little more water for a less sweet taste)
    - 1 tablespoon of instant coffee or Bambu
    - 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
    - 1/2 tablespoon of salt
    - 2 soup spoon of water (you can add a little more for a creamier consistency)

Put all the ingredients in a blender or food processor for a few minutes. Refrigerate before serving. Serve with fresh fruits and crackers. Hum!!!
